Report by Gil Levy - Head Coach

Dervis Konuralp raced at the Nationals in the Multiple Disability events. Dervis competed untapered (and unshaved) and on a full swimming program as his focus was to get some fast swims in preparation for the Beijing Paralympics. On the 100m Butterfly Dervis performed well and took the Silver medal.

Michael Gregory qualified for the National Youths and qualified in the 100m Backstroke, 200m Individual and the 50 Freestyle. Michael missed a lot of training through the GCSE exam period and arrived at the Ponds Forge Pool in Sheffield with only 24 training sessions under his … “fastskin” of which 10 were inside a taper phase. Michael swam with immense courage and aggression and was credit to himself and the Club. As Michael’s coach I feel Michael should take great pride in his achievements.

Many congratulations to both of them.
