This year’s Kent Junior League was as exciting as it always is and the final round was held in Dover - very close to the famous white cliffs.
A quote from Scott Walker, our hos,gives a feel for the excitement that swimmers and spectators experienced on the night:
”The swimming itself was a of a high standard throughout. RTW were ahead most of the night but were never out of sight. Likewise GBM were never out of reach and they in turn were pushed by Dover all night. Dartford did sneak into 3rd place for a little while. But at the bottom Saxon Crown and Bexley had flip flop tussle, with Saxon Crown only gaining the upper hand in the last block of relays.”
For a few swimmers it was their last opportunity to swim in the KJL and they put on their best performance as did the rest of the team. GBM came second on the night and second overall in Division 2 of the League. Well done to all the swimmers that took part - you were all fantastic.
